What is a Coder Dojo

It’s like a martial arts dojo – but for computers and coding. There’s no fighting, no competitions and only a few of the dojos bring the ‘martial arts’ meme a bit further.

Dojos are relaxed and fun programming clubs!

And there’s a vision statement

The CoderDojo movement believes that an understanding of programming languages is increasingly important in the modern world, that it’s both better and easier to learn these skills early, and that nobody should be denied the opportunity to do so.

So, we will do our best to include everyone, at every level of ability, in participating and contributing to our club.

So, how does it work?

First, It’s free. Free free. No-one gets charged to attend.

Next, bring a youngster (7-17 years old). And if you’re under 12, you have to stay with your youngster.

Lastly, keep turning up. And participate.
