Session 9: Introducing the microBit

We said we would be working on a web ring for the web pages but Glenn brought in the new microBit kit that we got from the CoderDojo Foundation and it took minutes for the kids to get involved in making some cool stuff.

Within minutes, guided by Alexandra, we had a microBit plugged into every computer and the kids were generating text messages, starting programs and sending messages between microBits.

It can be used to play music (though we need speakers) and it can be used to control robots (though we need more robots).

You can see the microBit in the centre of the BitBot here.
